Lost and Found Updates
July 6, 2012
Several pet updates are posted below. We also now have an "In Memory" page in our Petwatch section of beloved family pets who have died. We urge our Highland Meadows pet owners to join others in posting photographs and information about family pets on our website Pet Directory. Each pet can have its own page with as many as five photographs. Share your cute, clever, precious furry family members with all of us! This Petwatch Directory will also serve as a helpful tool to return lost pets to their families if it becomes lost. If you need help with posting, please contact our web administrator by using the "Contact Us" feature.

Lost! Missing Maltese! Winter was found and returned in good condition! Winter is a small white 11-year-old Maltese male weighing only about 7 pounds. He escaped from the backyard of a Highland Meadows resident, Yana, on Wallbrook near Bryson, who was keeping him while his owner was out of town. He was last seen on Tuesday, 7/24/12. Sally, the young pit bull found in our neighborhood early in the year, has been adopted by the Watkins family who fostered her since the end of January. Our Petwatch took care of several of Sally's needs early on, and the Watkins family did the rest. She's now a member of their loving home!
Six Cute Kittens - When a momma cat made her way into the crawl space at Tim Sowers' work, gave birth 6 cute kittens and left them there, he wrangled them up and brought them home in hopes of finding good homes for them. Sure enough, four were adopted out to two families in pairs, and the Sowers family has adopted the other two. No shelter for these cute kitties, thanks to the Sowers famly!
2 Roaming Pit Bulls - Lost from the Arboretum area, these two came through our neighborhood and continued on without being contained. The owner found one of the dogs but we are unable to confirm whether the second one was found.
Maverick - The little ShihTzu, Maverick, who escaped from home one evening, was sighted in the Dixon Branch neighborhood, contained at one point, but escaped. He was never found and returned to his family, according to his owner.
